Creative intent

Love becomes control when choice disappears.

After a masked Scientist tells Eli that everyone he loves is only an agent in his private reality, he follows a route through rain and memory toward a choice he believes will set them free.

At home, Mara’s refusal forces him to confront the difference between love, certainty and control. Her ability to contradict and leave becomes the film’s clearest sign of humanity.

Perception fails.
Humanity does not.

The method, synthesised

Four decisions shaped the workflow.

The process stayed human-led by keeping each decision bounded: story first, clear references, selective generation and precise editorial approval.

  1. 01

    Story before generation

Every shot began with a dramatic event and a point-of-view rule. Atmosphere alone was not enough.

    What changes for the audience?
  2. 02

    One reference, one job

Identity, wardrobe, hands, objects and geography were separated so each image carried one clear authority.

    Clarity over reference density
  3. 03

    Generate performance; edit precision

Generative tools supplied gesture and variation. CapCut shaped timing, sound, captions and frame-exact meaning.

    Possibility becomes a decision
  4. 04

    Inspect the whole interval

Contact sheets found risk; full-frame review cleared motion, boundaries, audio and continuity.

Sampled frames are clues, not proof

CapCut’s role

Canvas organised possibilities. The timeline created meaning.

CapCut Video Studio supported reference organisation and scene iteration. CapCut was the main editorial environment for assembly, pacing, sound layers, subtitles, title cards and final approvals.
